pull up a chair at aweness meltdown club
An intimate gathering about identity, change and the tender mess of becoming—shared over a three-course set lunch by Sospiri.
After seven months away, Aweness Meltdown Club is returning—and this time, we’re gathering around the table with Sospiri.
For this session, we’re exploring The Space Between Selves: that strange, vulnerable place where you’re no longer quite who you were, but you don’t yet know who you’re becoming.
Perhaps a role that once defined you no longer fits. Perhaps you’ve changed in ways the people around you don’t understand. Perhaps an old version of you is asking to be grieved, while a new one is quietly beginning to emerge.
There may be relief in that change. There may also be confusion, guilt, fear or loss.
At this table, you don’t need to have it figured out.
Together, we’ll make space for the identities we’ve inherited, performed, protected and outgrown—and for the selves still taking shape beneath them.
What we’ll explore
Who are you when you’re no longer performing a role for someone else?
Which version of yourself are you ready to release—or still grieving?
What happens when an identity that once kept you safe no longer feels like home?
Can you allow yourself to change without treating your past self as a mistake?
Who might you become if you stopped needing to know the answer?
We invite you to melt down with us in the best possible way; releasing tension, acknowledging important emotions and relieving stress. Because sometimes, a little meltdown is how we make room for magic.
Each session, we gather 12 guests to answer beautifully uncomfortable questions. No pressure to overshare—just an invitation to show up real, unfiltered, and fully you.
Spots are limited to keep the table intimate. Because this isn’t just another event. It’s a remembering. Of who we are, what we carry, and how deeply we can connect when the masks come off.

But Your Brain’s Still Asking Questions:
-
Absolutely. Most people do. In fact, coming alone often leads to the most powerful connections. There’s always a seat for you here.

Sospiri specialises in Southern Italian cuisine, with bright Mediterranean flavours and ingredients inspired by the land and sea. Its three-course set lunches typically begin with an antipasto such as a seasonal salad, soup or burrata, followed by a choice of pasta, seafood or meat, and finish with an Italian-inspired dessert alongside coffee or tea.
The exact dishes for our gathering may vary, but you can expect food that is fresh, comforting and full of Southern Italian character.
If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know in the order notes when booking so we can check with Sospiri and do our best to accommodate you.
-
Think of it as part open-hearted conversation, part soulful storytelling, part community healing. There’ll be prompts, gentle facilitation, and a whole lot of permission to just be real. You don’t have to say anything you don’t want to. But if you feel moved to share, we’re all ears (and hearts).
-
We’re a small team, seats are limited and the restaurants need to be booked in advance, so refunds aren’t available. But you can transfer your spot to a friend.
-
Just yourself. And maybe a journal, if you’re the kind who likes to write down thoughts before they float away.
-
There’s a good chance. And it’s beautiful.
TESTIMONIALS of the aweness table
-
Nadia Salleh:
"Yi Lian is just so genuine with her emotions and stories, it is hard not to also want to channel the same openness in my sharing.
Sometimes, we don't check in on ourselves enough. But this session is such a lovely reminder to take a pause, look back (sometimes with sadness), but look forward with more hope and trust that we've now learnt and know better."
-
Vivien Ong:
“I can't even really put into words how powerful this session felt. The Aweness Table felt like group therapy, comfort, solidarity, and perspective-shifting all in one.
The awe I felt for so many of these people at the table after hearing their stories was immense. Because it felt like such a safe space, sharing my own story felt like a cathartic energy release and reset.” -
Sarah Hana:
“The Aweness Table was everything I expected — and everything I didn’t.
Like a parachute, it only works when open. And that’s what this experience demanded—an open heart, an open mind, a willingness to fall softly into truth.
Yi Lian held the space with quiet strength. She didn’t try to fill it—she simply was.
Authentic, grounded, luminous in her energy. And as we all know, energy is contagious. Hers set the rhythm for how we showed up: unguarded, curious, ready.”
