This new bag is the everyday hero you didn’t know you needed
When The Paper Bunny released the Arc last year, we weren’t prepared for how quickly the Mini Arc (the Arc comes in three sizes — Arc, Midi Arc and Mini Arc) would charm its way into our wardrobe rotation. Its soft silhouette and compact curve made me feel feminine in the kind of way we hadn’t realised we craved — like a gentle, chic hug on our shoulder. We told ourselves she was the one.
But now? Now comes The Vessel, TPB’s brand-new bag shape, and let’s just say… our loyalty is being tested.
Launched on 12 June, the Vessel marks a bold new addition to The Paper Bunny’s already cult-followed lineup. It follows the Arc — their last new bag shape — which itself took a long stretch of R&D and prototyping before release.
If you’ve followed TPB’s design philosophy, you’ll know they don’t do new shapes on a whim. Each launch is like a love letter to functionality, style, and surprising features you never knew you needed.
And the Vessel is full of them.
SIZE
Let’s start with size. It’s deceptively roomy — it lies flat and sleek against the body like a structured handbag, but the interior capacity is wild. Think: full-length wallet, Kindle, compact umbrella, sunglasses, a small pouch of “just in case” items, keys, and your phone — with room to spare. And speaking of phones, there are silver side zips that not only look sharp but are perfectly sized for you to slip your phone in and out without digging around like a raccoon at midnight. Genius.
The Showstopper though?
That built-in silver ring — part of the design, not an afterthought — made for bag charms. Finally, a bag that understands our deep, slightly obsessive affection for decorating our accessories like Christmas trees. You can now clip on your TPB pouches, Pop Mart bag charms, sanitisers, keys, and lucky charms with ease and flair.
Materials in 6 colourways and 2 finishes:
Vegan leather ($99): soft, rich, and surprisingly luxe for the price.
Water-resistant nylon ($80): thick, structured, and perfect for the everyday chaos life throws at us.
“What makes the Vessel so clever is that it plays with contrast. It’s flat, but full. Big, but slim. Sleek, but ready to hold everything.
A bit like the woman who carries it — pulled together on the outside, yet holding multitudes within.”
And how’s this for proof of obsession? Five out of six colours are already sold out online — within a day of launch.
We didn’t expect to feel this way so soon after bonding with our Mini Arc. We really thought she was the one.
But this new shape? She’s bold. She’s practical. She gets us. Can one heart hold two loves from The Paper Bunny? At this point… We’re not ruling out a third.
